The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This original oil painting of nine Mallards jumping from a small marsh was done as a commission for a restaurant in Virginia. The wings of the ducks were painted to look like a motion blur to give the viewer the sense of rapid wingbeats and fast motion.

Guy Crittenden grew up fishing and hunting on the Chesapeake Bay in Gloucester, Virginia. He raised waterfowl at his childhood home on the shores of the Ware River, crabbed in the shallows along the tidal sandbars, and learned about wildlife and the ways of watermen from his grandfather.
